Terms of Service
Who you are contracting with
Veridict is operated by Alexander Jarlenäs (sole trader), trading as "Veridict" ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Veridict is
Veridict is a decision review tool. It analyses proposals and produces structured reviews. It does not make decisions — it supports the humans who do.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. You must not share your account and you must provide accurate information. You must not use Veridict to review documents you do not have permission to share.
Your data
You own your content. By uploading a proposal or company context document you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and process it solely to provide the service. We claim no other rights over your content.
Our intellectual property
The Veridict service, including the software, models, prompts, user interface, documentation, branding and all associated intellectual property rights, are and remain owned by Alexander Jarlenäs. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with your plan. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the underlying models or prompts.
Acceptable use
You may not use Veridict to: process unlawfully obtained documents; infringe anyone's intellectual property; send malware, spam or fraudulent content; probe, scan or interfere with the security of the service; scrape or resell outputs; or attempt to circumvent technical limits or these Terms.
AI-generated output
Veridict's reviews are generated by AI and are intended to support human decision-making, not replace it. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and for any decision you make on their basis. Veridict is not a substitute for legal, financial or other professional advice.
Payments — Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) govern payment, billing, tax and related mechanics.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your settings page or via paddle.net. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.
Refund policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription period. If you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the charge. Refunds are processed by our payment provider, Paddle, as Merchant of Record. To request a refund, visit paddle.net or email hello@veridict.app and we will forward the request. After the 14-day window, subscription fees for the current billing period are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable-use rules. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account. On termination, your right to use the service ends and, unless we are required by law to retain it, your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any business decision made on the basis of a Veridict review. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of Veridict after notification constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes will be brought before the competent Swedish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
